IMAX Facebook Tab
IMAX 2011
Facebook App
I designed and programmed this Facebook tab for IMAX via Terry Hines and Associates. It was one of the many Facebook tabs I had built for Terry Hines. I enjoyed learning how to build and deploy Facebook tabs and I hope to continue building media for Facebook in the future.
Focus on 2011
Focus Films
Banner Ads
I designed and animated these ads for Focus Films via Terry Hines and Associates. I built similar ads for Focus Films’ Focus on 2010 campaign. These ads were some of the first I had ever built in Flash. I had to learn very quickly how to optimize these ads to 40k to be
published on web.
Fear & Loathing Re-Cut Trailer
DAAP 2010
Video Editing
For this assignment I chose to re-cut a trailer for one of my favorite movies, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I spun the narrative to convey an opposite plotline. The red band trailer tells the story of two undercover cops sent to Las Vegas to investigate why cops at a convention are being turned into lizard people.
I enjoy editing video and creating a 70s style sci-fi thriller from this movie reflects my love of pop culture and narratives.
Zombie Girl
DAAP 2009
Green Screen/Matte Painting
This was one of my favorite assignments. I shot footage of the view from my apartment then created a matte painting of a post-apocalyptic landscape. Due to scheduling madness, the “green screen” used was actually a gray backdrop. I tracked a zombie like mask over my volunteers face. Again, this reflects my love of pop culture (created, however before the recent zombie boom).
Everyday Primary Care Physician
JUICE Pharma Worldwide
Animated Presentation
I had the wonderful opportunity to help lead a team of designers and animators in creating this animated presentation for JUICE Pharma Worldwide. We wanted to convey the hectic everyday lifestyle of a typical primary care physician. The most rewarding part of this project was having my concept design chosen and getting to see the process from recording the voice over to helping my team manage the many segments of animation
that went into this piece.
LifeForms Storyboard
Terry Hines & Associates 2011
Concept Storyboard
This assignment for Terry Hines was a small one, a simple concept storyboard for an application called LifeForms. I enjoyed helping to create this pitch for a 25 second (or less) spot. Again, I feel this piece conveys my love of storytelling. I enjoy creating storyboards and characters.
Welcome to the bottom of the page!
Okay! To the untrained eye, it seems like I've got my head in the clouds... (or space...or the ocean?)
Here's just a few things you should know about me. As a designer I’ve always believed in learning new things as the world of technology is ever changing. I was drawn to digital design by the wealth of new skills I would accrue during my 5 years of education in the program of Design Architecture Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Design, I hope to begin a career that most applies to my interests and skills while also allowing me to learn and grow new skills.
I have a quirky sense of humor and as I'm sure you've gathered it reflects greatly in my personal design endeavors. However, during my 6 three-month co-ops, my work experience has taught me to harness my wild creative spark and hone my skills to cater to specific audiences, brands, and user experience.
I am currently seeking full time employment! I am available for freelance and contract work as well. My current life goal is to go to grad school for film, and one-day work as an art director at some capacity.
If you’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic digital designer with a hunger to learn and a plethora of experience to join your team...you found her! Feel free to download my resume and drop me a line!
